Flat Walking Paths 5 minutes away

Basic facilities: All paths start from the main parking at the end of the drive off of Walnut Street. There are accessible parking spots there, and an overflow lot in front of the Community Garden. There are accessible restrooms from spring through fall and porta-potties at other times. A water fountain can be found next to the restrooms.
​
Other park features: The park includes many other amenities: a shaded playground (and a second with swings only), a frisbee course, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and multiple picnic tables and pavilions (check out the park website for information on how ti rent these). The park also hosts free concerts in the summer, and other events.

Reservoir Loop
A Universal Access .5 mile walking path
​Effort: This .5 mile partially paved but mostly gravel walking path and merits an Overall Grade Rating of Flat. Click the map below for more detailed information, and click here for information on our grade rating system and how we use grades to establish effort.
​
Stress: This 5' wide walking path meets standards for Universal Access and so is rated as no stress for all users.
​
Universal Access: The path meets standards for Universal Access Trails.
​
Other features: This is a fairly busy path that circles the reservoir. Walkers will likely encounter people and dogs, especially on weekends and evenings. Turn by turn directions are also available in the app for the loop.
​
Connections: At the northern end of the reservoir, veer to the right where the path forks to continue on the the Stream Loop.

Stream Loop
A very easy and low stress 1 mile walking path
​Effort: This 1 mile partially paved but mostly gravel walking path and merits an Overall Grade Rating of Flat. Click the map below for more detailed information, and click here for information on our grade rating system and how we use grades to establish effort.

Stress: This 5' wide walking path is rated as low stress. Long sections of the path along the stream become soggy after rainstorms because of poor drainage, making conditions difficult or impossible for those using wheelchairs or canes, or pushing small-wheeled strollers.
Universal Access: The path meets all standards for Universal Access Trails except with respect to firmness (see above).

Other features: This is a somewhat busy path that becomes quieter once you leave the reservoir, where it also becomes shaded for most of the rest of its length. The path passes alongside the dog park, which can become quite noisy. Turn by turn directions are also available in the app for the loop.

Connections: The path overlaps with the Reservoir Loop at the beginning. At the northern end of the reservoir, veer to the right where the path forks to continue on the the Stream Loop.
